Tyler Jacobsen

Tyler is a video and performance artist/electronic musician who works
in conjunction with the media arts collective, Conglomco. Jacobsen’s work has been shown extensively in the past six months across the US, the UK, Japan, and China. Some of his
more recent projects include Re-code.com. a collaboration between Conglomco and The Carbon Defense League. Re-code.com is a barcode database and web-based application that enables customers to "name their own price for the products they want to buy".

Tyler is currently living in Troy, NY while perusing his MFA in Electronic Art at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

The collective Conglomco is dedicated to franticly pursuing malfunctions in technology, while showcasing the aesthetics of the glitches that occur when exploiting these malfunctions. With eyes focused on the future, Conglomco finds brave, new ways of approaching art and activism.
