The Female Report/ El Reporte Femenil addresses perceptions of Latin American women in news and ‘infotainment’ culture through a simulated newscast exploring feminism and popular notions of Latina womanhood.

Carolyn Castaño is a Los Angeles-based artist whose work explores the role of women in the United States and Latin America. She is a 2011 California Community Foundation Getty Fellow and recipient of the prestigious C.O.L.A Individual Artist Fellowship 2011.
