L.A. FREEWAVES
L.A. Freewaves liberates video and new media from the bondage of profit,
reshaping it as tools for artistic and social expression accessible to
anyone. It is Southern California's preeminent advocate for independent,
experimental, noncommercial and under-represented media.
L.A Freewaves facilitates cross-cultural dialogues by inventing dynamic
new media exhibition forms at experimental and established venues throughout
Los Angeles. LA Freewaves is building one of the largest online archives
and Internet new media resources. LA Freewaves also presents local workshops
and develops educational material, advocating creation and access to ground
breaking alternative media. In the future, LA Freewaves will extend its
reach to more international artists and audiences.
