Andrew
Bucksbarg is another dummy-robot involved in “media-play;”
integrating animation, audio, interactivity, text, video and vocalization.
As an independent culture producer, Bucksbarg composes hybrid textures
and plays of sensation that investigate ideas of futurism, technology,
utopia, otherness, pleasure and play. Bucksbarg is the Executive Director
of adhocarts.org, a media-arts
organization that recently presented Videacy
(co-curated with Sara Roberts and Sheila Sofian.) He is currently
working with artist Lara Bank on a web-based project, Mediatopia.net.
Bucksbarg received an M.F.A. from California Institute of the Arts
and currently teaches digital arts at Orange Coast College and Los
Angeles Mission College. Bucksbarg's work has appeared throughout
the U.S. and Europe.
