Ruth Szold Stern

My video is my bio. It tells it all. If you have not seen it, please view it and you will understand. I am presently living and making art and showing art in Los Angeles. I am particularly interested in space and how light, shadow invades that space whether it be with text or figuratively and of course how film and video, is the very essence of that invasion. I have a long history both as an employee, my own business, raising two children and creating art within those contexts for many years. In my later years I was accepted at CalArts and earned an undergraduate and graduate degree in fine art. I recently had an email called
"Cruising the Galleries" where I visited the galleries, conversed with everyone and then reported on it. This was conducted from March 2001 to December 2001. I am presently compiling this into a book and am interested in speaking it within a video and film context. I am in the process of several videos concerning my everyday life with my family and everything that pertains to.
