Queer Youth Nation
Videos made by queer youth from across the USA and Canada, 94 minutes. Curated by Ana Lopez. Produced by REACH LA in collaboration with the LA Gay and Lesbian Center’s Youth Services.

As a seventeen-year-old Chicana lesbian, I know what it feels like to be 'out' to the world. I also know that there are many teenagers out there that feel alone and really don't have anyone that they can relate to. I feel that a show like this would help LGBTQ teens to know that they are not alone. It will help them understand themselves better by hearing the personal stories and struggles of other youth like them.

The videos screened in this show cover a variety of different issues that queer youth face everyday from discrimination to activism, from poetry to queer punk scene and love & friendship where you find it, from chat lines to group homes. Not only will this show motivate youth to speak out for a better queer future, but it will make youth knowledgeable of the real queer world out there. - Ana Lopez
