BUDGET 2 SAVE LIVES + CURB

will offer an advocacy workshop.

Learn how they use budget advocacy as a tool to shift California’s $18.3 billion corrections budget away from prisons and toward life-affirming areas like housing, education, environmental protection, and immigrant justice currently at risk. B2SL will be presenting their new zine designed to support community members in their budget advocacy efforts at the state, county and local levels.

Budget 2 Save Lives (B2SL) is a multi-year vision to move California toward a “Care First” future by investing in healing and rehabilitation, divesting from incarceration and policing, and ending the economic austerity that endangers the lives of countless human beings.

Californians United for a Responsible Budget (CURB) is a coalition of over 100 grassroots organizations across the state working together to reduce the number of incarcerated people in California and reduce the number of prisons and jail.
