Bad Blood
Selected by José Muñoz, Approximately 65 minutes

Blood is a powerful metaphor for identity. It is also a powerful metaphor for understanding the problem of identity. This program includes Erika Suderburg's Sanguine, a video that meditates on the fact of ethnicity in relation to U.S. racism.

Richard Fung's Sea in the Blood makes a connection with ethnicity and AIDS, a disease of the blood, in relation to the artist's own biography. Other videos include representations of mixed blood identity and its relation to urban violence and stigmatized sexualities.
