Thinh Nguyen (b. 1984 Bao An, Vietnam; lives and works in Los Angeles, CA) received their MFA from Claremont Graduate University (2011) and BFA from California State University, Fullerton (2007). Nguyen multi-disciplinary art practice examines the intersectional inequity of cultural values surrounding race, gender, sexuality, and political power structures. They had solo exhibitions at Groundspace (2017); Whittier College (2015); Marymount Graduate University (2012); and LA Annex (2009). Nguyen participated in group shows at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (2018); The Hammer Museum (2016); REDCAT (2015); Arnaud Deschin Galerie, Paris (2014); and presented their institutional intervention at The New Museum and Museum of Modern Art, New York (2012); and Museum of Contemporary Art and Los Angeles Museum of Art (2011). Their work has been written in Art Forum, Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, LA Weekly, Hyperallergic, Artillery and numerous online forums.
