In addition to the All Over the Map festival, in 1998 Freewaves spearheaded fifty workshops aimed at artists explaining web, digital design, video on web, how to access the internet, activist and resistance strategies in the digital age, and more. The workshops aimed to reach as many people as possible, with classes for different skill sets and art practices. Participants included Victoria Vesna, Erik Loyer, and Fabian Wagmister.
